Ray Didinger - Hall of Fame Writer and Producer of "N.F.L. Films"

Born 9/18/46 - Ray was raised in Folsom and graduated from St. James High School in 1964. After receiving his degree from Temple University, he wrote sports for the Philadelphia Bulletin and Philadelphia Daily News for 26 years before joining N.F.L. Films in 1996. Ray has won 4 Emmy Awards as a writer and producer of " N.F.L. Films Presents" and the T.N.T. documentary " Football America." His one- hour special “Unitas" was selected as one of the top 10 documentaries of 1999. Ray has been named Pennsylvania Sportswriter of the Year 5 times. He has won 6 Keystone Press Association Awards, 3 Associated Press Awards, and 3 Philadelphia Press Awards. He has also written seven books on football. In 1995, Ray won the Dick McCann Award for his pro football writing and was added to the Writers Honor Roll in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Tommy McDonald requested Ray to introduce him at his Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony.
