A graduate of Lansdowne AIdan High School, where he played football under coach Ray Spafford. Earned degree in physical education from the University of Pittsburgh, became licensed physical therapist and was strength and conditioning coach for Philadelphia Flyers hockey team and Philadelphia 76er’s basketball team. He served as consultant to Atlanta Braves baseball team, Atlanta Hawks basketball team and Green Bay Packers football team.

1993: Builds nationally known business of physical therapy centers, which is recognized as Delaware County Chamber of Commerce "Business of the Year."

1996: Sells his business and buys part ownership of Philadelphia 76ers professional basketball team and becomes team president, helping boost attendance and making team into NBA championship contender.

1999: Named Sports Figure of the Year by Delaware County Daily times.

2001: Resigns as president of 76ers but stays in pro basketball as analyst on national television broadcasts.
