Olympic Field Hockey Players, Coaches
Larson, Morett and Shelton all were members of the United States National Field Hockey Team, which did not compete in the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow because of the American boycott of Communist nations. They remained with the team in 1984 and helped the United States to the win bronze medal in the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Morett was an outstanding field hockey and basketball player at Lansdowne-Aldan High who ranks among Penn State University's all-time leaders in goals and assists. Was head field hockey coach at Boston College before returning to Penn State to become head coach in 1991. Her '91 team made NCAA Division I Final Four, and in 2000 she was selected Mideast Region Coach of the Year. Shelton played field hockey at Marple Newtown High School and was National College Player of the Year in leading West Chester University to Division I Championships in 1977 and 1978. She became head coach at the University of North Carolina in 1981 and her teams won NCAA Division I National Championships in 1989, 1995 and 1996. In 1999, she was named Delaware County's Field Hockey Player of the Millennium by the Delaware County Daily Times.
