Member of Connie Mack’s famous $100,000 infield. Sold to the Yankees in 1916 for $35,000. Led the A’s in home runs in 1911, 1912, 1913 and 1914. Led Delco Baseball League in home runs in 1915. Baker earned his nickname in 1911 World Series when he hit the game winning home run in successive days against the Giants. Elected to the Hall of Fame in 1955. Baker played in 6 World Series and was a member of Upland Championship Team in the Delco Baseball League in 1915.
